Silly season update: Prost will now most likely stick to it's current driver line-up for next year now that Alesi has announced that he will stay at Sauber. Prost must have at least one French driver to keep it's Peugeot engine deal. Prost will most likely also pick up the option on Jarno Trulli. Alain Prost: "I'm intent on keeping both my drivers - I see no reason to change them."

Goodyear might be staying in Formula 1 after they declared at the beginning of the season that this would be their last year in F1. Ferrari designer Rory Byrne has said before Italian newspaper Gazzetto dello Sport that they are close to signing a deal with Goodyear for next year.
