John Barnard, Arrows' technical director from South Africa, has split with the team unexpectedly after a possible financial dispute with team boss Tom Walkinshaw. Walkinshaw has supposedly said that the car that Barnard created is too technical and expensive for the team. Besides the two seem to argue about Barnard's contract and the possible purchase of a share in Barnard's company B3. Walkinshaw commented: "I have a contract with John and I anticipate him seeing out his two-year deal with us."
