The second session of today's free practice showed a promising result of Stewart for the rest of the weekend. Rubens Barrichello drove during his last attempt a beautiful fifth time in 1:14.302. While Rubens drove with the harder compound tyres, Jos tried the softer compound. However the circuit seems not to be suited for the softer tyres since large blisters appeared on Jos his right front tyre at the end of the session when most drivers set their fastest times. Jos did his best lap in 1:15.231 good for a 16th position, however the good result of Rubens shows the potential of the car for the rest of the weekend. David Coulthard was fastest today in 1:13.703 followed by Fisichella at 0.001 sec!! Mika Häkkinen was third followed by Herbert, Barrichello and Wurz. The first 11 drivers were within 1 second of each other.
