Published on 10 July 1998 by Verstappen Info Page

Hakkinen - again - was the fastest driver this morning in the first trainingsession for the Britisch Grand Prix. Dutchman Jos Verstappen did an 16th time and was a full second faster as his timemate Rubens Barrichello.
The Mclaren cars seem to be undefeatable again. Hakkinen was the only driver to dive under 1.26 with his best time of 1'25"984. Second man - again - was David Coulthard and third man, Michael Schumacher, followed on 0.9 seconds. The distance with the rest of the field was 1.5 seconds and more... Eddie Irvine didn't set a time this morning.
