Honda has announced today that they will return into Formula in 2000. President Hiroyuki Yoshino said that the team will use its own engine, chassis and management. They will start testing early next year in preparation for the 2000 championship. Honda did not make an announcement who will be the drivers next year. Honda is not unfamiliar with Formula 1. They took part as a full team between 1964 and 1968, winning two races. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, they where active as engine supplier. Ayrton Senna had a lot of success with the Honda engine before they withdrew in 1992 from the sport.
