Testing in South Africa

Williams and BAR have moved their test outfits to sunny and summery South Africa to continue their test programmes on the circuit of Kyalami. Yesterday Jacques Villeneuve has set the fastest time of 1:24.2. The only other driver that day was Ralf Schumacher who set a best time of 1:25.4 yesterday. He was faster though on the first three days of testing. Alessandro Zanardi couldn't drive because he had damaged his car on Sunday. Williams hoped that both cars would be ready to run again today.

Minardi will continue it's testing programme on Mugello in Italy on Wednesday and Thursday. 'Wonderboy' Marc Gene will most likely be the only driver for the Italian outfit.
