The Stewart-Ford SF-1 has had its first testmiles on a damp Silverstone circuit. Rubens Barrichello and Jan Magnussen drove a total of 24 laps without difficulties. The team will start a 4 day test session at Jerez on Sunday.

West McLaren Mercedes offered a sneak preview of its new MP4/12 today. The car is described as 90 percent new and has improved radically on aerodynamics, a lower nose profile and changes to the rear wing. The car has already been flown to Jerez for 8 days of preliminary testing by David Coulthard and later on Mika Hakkinen. The car has been shown the team's classic orange colour.
