Tom Walkinshaw has taken over Arrows. The team will be using the excellent facilities of TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing) and will be unmodified. Before April 28, he wants to have complete control over the team.
In the free friday practice Jos finished on the 8th position. He finished just behind Schumacher but before Barrichello, Villeneuve, Herbert and Frentzen. Irvine couldn't take part in the practice after his car was wrecked in the morning session. See Grand Prix results 1996 for test times of the friday session.
