The F1 sole tyre supplier Pirelli has revealed the different tyre choices for the Malaysian Grand Prix on the Sepang International Circuit. The Italian based company supplies three tyre-compounds every GP-weekend. It is mandatory for the teams to use two during the race.
This time round, it’s mainly the aggressive tyre choice by Scuderia Toro Rosso that has caught the attention. Daniil Kvyat and Carlos Sainz have both eight sets of the soft compound at their disposal.
Regarding the top teams, only Ferrari and Mercedes opted for a slightly more aggressive approach than Red Bull Racing. The German and Italian squad have chosen seven sets of the soft compound while Red Bull Racing’s Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen have opted for six sets of the yellow striped tyre.
