The results of our prize contest, with a record number of 1273 contestants, are known. The winner is Jan Cobbenhagen. Jan has won a one year subscription to F1 Racing just like number 2, Milton van Veldhuizen. Numbers 3 to 5 are Arnout van Veen, Hielke de Vries and Martijn Marijnis. We congratulate all winners.
Damon Hill has been handed a suspended one race ban for being held responsible for his collision with Shinji Nakano in lap 12 of the San Marino Grand Prix. Hill's ban will be enacted if he transgresses again in Monaco. "I'm angry," Hill said after the race. "It was an ambitious move, but he had blocked me for over a lap. I was pushing very hard trying to work my way through the field. I saw a gap and went for it, but he just turned-in and that was the end of that."
Nakano: "Hill just ran into me from behind at the last chicane. I saw him in my mirrors but, as I turned in, he hit the rear left of my car hard."
The same Shinji Nakano may get the sack from his teamboss rumour has it. Alain Prost will meet the president of Mugen-Honda next week to discuss Nakano's future. Alain seems to be very unhappy with the performance of the Japanese protege and future son-in-law of Honda president Hirotoshi Honda compared to those of Olivier Panis.
