Daniel Ricciardo will not test for Renault in Abu Dhabi

The Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team will not give Daniel Ricciardo permission to test for his new team, Renault, during the tyre tests following the current season. True to tradition, the two-day test closes the season after the final race in Abu Dhabi.

Red Bull has disregarded Renault's request to release the Australian. Ricciardo will, as expected, also not drive for Red Bull Racing where Pierre Gasly will replace him.

"I can't drive for Red Bull and they will not let me drive for Renault," Ricciardo said in Austin.

This test is the only option for drivers who change teams to gain experience on track with their new team before the winter tests leading up to start of the new season in February 2019.
