Max in midfield after first round Real Racers Never Quit

Three-time Formula 1-world champion Max Verstappen finished the first race of the Real Racers Never Quit championship in eighth place. The Dutchman took to the competitive track against other simracers, including Team Redline, Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing and drivers from the real racing world.

The first race of the four week long championship was fought from inside GT3-cars. After twenty minutes training on the virtual Daytona circuit, every driver got four qualifying laps to establish their starting position in the half hour race. Max, representing Verstappen.com, started in P10, while Luke Bennett claimed pole position (1:43.584).

The driving was intense at the front of the race, with four drivers jockeying for victory. Luke Bennett, William Chadwick, Chris Lulham and Ole Steinbraten had the top of the podium in their sights, till Chadwick and Steinbraten dropped a number of places. The vaccuum was filled by Gustavo Ariel and Sam Kuitert, but it was Chris Lulham who claimed the victory. Luke Bennett received the honorary title of ‘driver of the day’ based on the votes of the viewers.

The second round of the program is scheduled for next week Tuesday 23 January at 6 p.m. The drivers will take to the virtual Silverstone circuit in Formula 3 cars, and the Mugello circuit in Formula 4 cars.
